Comfort Zones
Are you blind to your comfort zones? Do you even know what they are? Do you do the same thing the same way day after day? Are you worried about trying new things but would really love to do it? Do you just not do it, because its just not you?
Well, if you say yes to any of those you are like most people, in fact I myself happily ignored them for years. Just over a year ago I realised that my life had to change and thanks to my friend Jenn I tentatively stuck my foot into the waters of self improvement, which in turn lead me to actually have DREAMS for my future, aims and goals that seem achievable.
In the few months that I haven't posted on this blog I have given up ranting about how terrible my lot in life is and am working towards a better future, a new career and a midterm plan to re-locate to my home country after re-qualifying.
If like me you are new to this world or you want to improve yourself and are a little scared about going ahead and trying, take a small step first. It can be as small as you like, people might not even notice you've taken it but, it is vitally important to YOU, you took it, without help and it will give you that sense of achievement that you haven't felt in years and it feels GOOD. It not only feels good it will give you the courage to do something bigger, something more meaningful. Exciting your comfort zone is the first step to a lot of things.
- achieving your goals
- freeing your inner self
- being happy
- daring to dream
- daring to do
- changing your mind-set
- Being YOU
What was my first step, well, it seems silly at the age of 49 but, going for a coffee with a colleague from work, my friend Jenn as it happens. I know that sounds ridiculous however, prior to that I hadn't seen anyone bar my family and people my husband approved of for as long as I can remember and I'm talking years here. So try it, try a different route home, ask for some extra training at work, or just stop doing something pointless because you feel you 'have to'.
